The Return of Collective Power

Across industries and coastlines, American workers organize, strike, and win challenging inequality in an age of technology and economic pressure.

Unions Strike Again is a documentary that explores the revival of the labor movement in the United States in the early 2020s. Through a journey along both coasts, it examines the country’s social, economic, and labor context.

The film reveals how workers in sectors as diverse as the automotive industry, Hollywood, Amazon, and Starbucks managed to organize, negotiate, and transform their working conditions during a period of major technological change and economic tension.

From the historic wage increases achieved by auto workers to the long Hollywood writers’ strike in defense of their rights in the face of the rise of artificial intelligence, the documentary showcases the tactics, strategies, and motivations behind these victories.
Unions Strike Again highlights the power of solidarity and collective action in contrast to the individualism and prevailing neoliberal policies of today.
